I'm

 Ryan

(he/they)

My position at headspace Tweed Heads:

Youth Access Clinician

A bit about me!

I’m a naturopath and counsellor and I grew up here in the Northern Rivers area. I found out early on after graduating how rewarding young people are to work with. In my studies as a naturopath, 'prevention' was  always seen as greater than 'cure', and I feel that  supporting young people in this special time of growth is one of the greatest ways to stick to this principle.

My hobbies include...

making electronic dance music, creating visual art, practicing the violin (slowly getting there), playing competitive computer games, cooking luscious food, chatting with friends and family, and enjoying the beauty of this area.

(she/her)

My position at headspace Tweed Heads:

Youth Access Clinician

A bit about me!

Before embarking on my counselling studies, I dedicated over 10 years to the wellness industry. I am a qualified yoga teacher and natural therapies practitioner, having studied and gained some work experience in various countries. Through my travels, education and lived experience as a migrant from Brazil, I have developed strong intercultural communication skills and attuned cultural sensitivity.

I'm fascinated by people's life stories and their ability to overcome adversity and grow from their challenges. I believe every individual is the expert of their own life. As a counsellor, my goal is to create a safe and supportive environment where people can discover their own strengths, resources and solutions.

My favourite things:

In my free time, you'll find me with a cup of tea in hand, reading, playing with my son and my dog, or planning my next travel adventure.
