The centre hosted the 'Green Street Markets' and lit up the plaza in our signature colour.
The market event consisted of food vendors, local businesses, market stalls, a free photo booth, free face painting run by their youth reference group (YRG), free henna tattoos, free ice creams, free headspace sugar cookies, a chalk walk activity and local youth performers!
They also had a raffle prize giveaway to which community members had to show us they were following our socials to enter. Prizes included a local Kamilaroi artwork by Jodi Herden, a $100 gift voucher to Tamworth Auto Repairs and a 12-month Black Card Spa Planet Fitness membership valued at $600.
E.S Malaika music performed her newest release that explained her journey with mental health, followed by the one and only Matt Barratt. Next up were speeches, which included one from the centre's community engagement officer Jessica Downey, where she introduced the YRG, and explained the headspace service including location, age range and four core streams. Josi, the centre's executive manager of clinical services (Centacare of 12 years) also gave a speech in regards to headspace in the last 10 years, followed by the centre's lead agency's new CEO Chris as well as Tamworth's Mayor Russel Webb.
The event finished with cake cutting!
As this event was planned and produced with the YRG, they had massive input into the execution and they all received thank you gifts. The event was highly successful with over 1000 community members coming through!
