headspace Rosebud is a voluntary, free and confidential health service for young people aged 12 - 25 in the southern Mornington Peninsula area.
We are an inclusive service and a safe space for all young people
We are located on Pt Nepean Road, directly across from Rosebud Beach. You can get to us by the local 788 bus service. Our building is fully wheelchair accessible.

headspace Rosebud is operated by YSAS (Youth Support and Advocacy Service). All headspace services are funded by the Australian Government Department of Health. Administration of funding is carried out by the headspace centre’s local Primary Health Network, in this case, South East Melbourne Primary Health Network (SEMPHN).
Mental health workers – which may include psychologists, psychiatrists, counsellors and other workers – that can help if you're just not feeling yourself.
Workers either on site or linked to the centre who can assist you with any alcohol or other drug issue.
A headspace early intervention program to improve the lives of young people, and their families, who are affected by psychosis.
Centres have a range of programs and activities for young people. Just ask your centre what they have on.
Sexual health screenings on site or links to local services.
Workers either on site or linked to the centre who can assist you with work or study opportunities.
A group of young people who help with events and some decision making at a centre. Ask your centre about getting involved.

The "front door" of headspace Rosebud is our Intake Team, filled with our Access Workers - they will help you out with what you need! Our staff can help you figure out what is going on and put a plan together to get you the support you need, as well as organise referrals to services that are here to help you
We have many types of workers that can help support young people accessing our services, including psychologists, GP's, social workers, youth workers, Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) workers and many others

Using this online form, you can refer yourself or a young person. We are a voluntary service and the young person will need to consent to accessing our services.

Some things to know
Services at headspace Rosebud are free and confidential.
Before the first appointment, the young person will receive a text to confirm. When they arrive at the centre, they will be asked to fill in a survey via a tablet.
Any worker met with will find out the young person’s wants and needs and help with the next steps. If you require any assistance to access our services, please let us know.
We promote family inclusive practice. Young people are encouraged to consider the involvement of a family member, friend or a significant support person as an important part of their care
Collection and use of your personal information
YSAS (including the headspace Frankston and headspace Rosebud programs) needs to collect personal information from you (such as personal, family and medical details) so we can give you quality health care, and we need your permission to collect and keep this information.
A relationship of trust and confidentiality between you and your workers is important.
In our commitment to your care, and by law, we must ensure that your information stays private.
As part of this care plan, your worker may recommend that you are referred to a health professional or program. In this case, your worker will discuss this plan with you, and get your agreement before giving any of your information to another party.
We will also not disclose any of your information (including whether or not you are a client at YSAS) to members of your family or other individuals enquiring about you, unless you agree to this.
We appreciate confidentiality is very important, but there are times when we may have to share certain information, for example if you are at risk of being harmed by yourself or others, or there is a legal requirement. If this is the case, we will endeavour to discuss and explain this with you first, before any information is given out.
You can withdraw or change your consent at any time, but this may limit the services available to you. Your worker will be able to help you with this, and explain the process to you – it’s YOUR information, so it’s YOUR choice!
Consent to collect and hold your information

Some of the participating agencies are also required to comply with the Freedom of Information Act 1982. I understand that I do not have to give information, but if I don’t this might limit the range of services available to me.

I understand that I may not be given access in some cases, but I will be told why. I understand that if my information is to be used for any reason other than the above, I will be told why and given an opportunity to consent, if I agree.
