Queanbeyan news

  • Dog Space goes National!

Dog Space goes National The headspace National Forum was on 20-21 March in Melbourne with 900 headspace staff from around the country participating. At the forum headspace Queanbeyan show cased our DOG SPACE group – a fortnightly group where young people get to hang out for an hour with Delta Therapy dogs. We were lucky enough to have Delta Dogs come to the forum to interact with participants and show them first-hand how hanging out with a therapy dog can have a positive impact on well-being. We were lucky enough to win a $1000 prize for this showcase (who doesn’t love dogs!). Since the forum we are excited to hear of a number of headspace centres around the country starting up their own versions of DOG SPACE. Good luck to you all. DOG SPACE meets from 4-5pm at headspace Queanbeyan on the second and fourth Mondays of the month. If you would like to receive text message reminders on the day DOD SPACE is on – let us know.
