Parent and Carer Webinar; Supporting Your Child's Mental Health

As a parent or carer, it can be difficult to understand how to support your young person through mental health challenges, to encourage them to seek additional help or even how to start the conversation.

 

headspace Geelong have partnered with headspace National to bring you a practical webinar to assist you to build your mental health literacy. Hear from a combination of youth mental health experts and a young person and parent who will share their lived experience in help seeking and recognising early warning signs.

 

Information presented will:

  • Strengthen your understanding of mental health and mental health literacy.
  • Build skills and strategies to support the mental health and wellbeing of your young person, including their transition to work and study.
  • Build awareness of local, state and national supports available to young people.
  • Showcase local headspace centre community resources.
