May 17th is the International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia.

The day is significant because on this day in 1990, the World Health Organisation finally and officially removed homosexuality from its list of diagnosable diseases.

headspace Elsternwick wishes to reaffirm its commitment to GLBTQI young people and providing them with a safe space to get the help they need.

Mental health and wellbeing outcomes for GLBTQI young people are still worse than their peers, and one of the main reasons for this remains homophobia and cultural expectations.

At headspace Elsternwick we celebrate sexuality in all its varied forms and want GLBTQI young people to know that we have their back.
