Three cheers for our hYLITE Mentors!
Each year the hYLITE Centre recruits 3rd and 4th year CSU School of Psychology students as volunteer mentors. The role of the mentor is to provide educational and vocational support to young people as well as helping to facilitate group programs. While the mentors are volunteering they have the opportunity to receive hands on experience working in the field they are studying in as well as exposure to weekly clinical supervision and delivering stress management and social skills group. Without theses fabulous mentors we would not be able to open the doors 4 days a week and provide this valuable service. The staff at headspace would like to thank the mentors for the fabulous work they do!!
